Purple Clay Teapot Art of Wang Yufang

Wang Yu Fang was born in Yiaing, coming from a long line of pottery makers; she has been in the art of pottery making for thirty years. With the influence of previous purple clay artists, she integrates modern design concepts into her works, making her purple clay teapots demonstrate modern concepts with practicality. With the suggestions of the editors, Wang Yufang produced a few hundred clay teapots and selected seventy-eight of them to be inscribed with Professor Jao Tsung-i’s paintings and calligraphic works. The result is surprisingly good. In view of this, an album was specially compiled this batch of artworks along with twelve of Wang’s teapots into for this wonderful event of purple clay teapot art.
