Tammam Azzam, born in 1980 in Damascus, is a political artist who creates stirring paintings, colorful picture collages made from countless scraps of paper and moving photo collages. This publication provides a comprehensive overview of the Syrian artist’s oeuvre and describes his career over the past twenty years. The narrative follows the artist from Damascus to Dubai, Delmenhorst, and finally Berlin, where the artist has lived and worked since 2018.
